Ryan Reed

Springdale, Arkansas native and accomplished diver Ryan Reed attended the University of Denver for two years where he competed as a NCAA Division 1 athlete on the Swimming and Diving Team. "Anything that gets my adrenaline pumping is right up my alley," says Ryan, who also enjoys pursuing photography in his spare time. "I love to stay active and engage in the outdoors any moment I get." 

After talking with FIDM Admissions Advisor Cathy Chambers, Ryan made a decision to transfer to the college, to study Graphic Design. "I think what made FIDM right for me is that it allows for me to capitalize on my creative nature and really fosters the ability to take my career to the next level," he says. "I knew after speaking with my advisor, Cathy, and seeing how positive and uplifting she was, that FIDM was where I was supposed to be."

Now living in Los Angeles, Ryan plans to use the skills he learns at FIDM to work for a big name clothing brand or visual arts magazine. "I expect that through FIDM, I will be able to take my education, apply it to the real world, and grow as a professional while making valuable connections," he adds.
